Overview

The authors have written the material with the aim of aligning it to Residential, Home and Community Aged Care Workbook (Unicomb and Bell) and Long-Term Caring: Residential, Home and Community Aged Care, 3rd edition (Scott, Webb and Sorrentino). This resource contains essential tools that can be customised and contextualised to meet individual training needs and to support compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

             

Using the resource

The Instructors Resource Pack contains four assets: Final Assessments, Model Answers to activities in the Workbook, Model Answers to Final Assessments, and instructor PowerPoint templates that include images from the Workbook.

As students work through the chapters in the Workbook (Unicomb and Bell), they will be asked to refer to the main text (Scott, Webb and Sorrentino) to complete activities. The Instructor’s Resource Pack assists instructors by offering model answers to all activities in the Workbook, as well as assessment and delivery tools to deliver consistently high-quality training, and to support the comprehensive student resources available in this suite.

While all the assessments have been mapped to the latest Community Services and Health training packages, it is the responsibility of the RTOs to ensure that any changes made to this material meet all the requirements of the elements, performance criteria, performance evidence, knowledge evidence and assessment conditions of the training package.
